Cost: £60 (if you are an Archery Activity, the cost will be £40 per Instructor)
Lunch and refreshments, will be provided throughout the day.
Agenda
- Welcome and Introductions: Including an interactive ice breaker
- Update from AGB: Instructor Subscription, competency check, Learning Curve, soft archery and our inclusion projects etc.
- Instructor Award Level 2: Hear our plans on the development of an Instructor Award Level 2 and provide your feedback.
- Practical Session: Engaging Activities for Skill Development in an Inclusive Archery Environment: Discover innovative and engaging activities designed to develop archery skills in an inclusive environment. This session is tailored for Archery GB instructors who are passionate about creating dynamic and supportive training experiences. Learn how to implement fun and effective drills that cater to all skill levels, ensuring every archer feels included and motivated. Through interactive demonstrations and collaborative exercises, you'll explore techniques to enhance accuracy, consistency, and confidence in your archers. Join us to elevate your coaching approach and foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere for all participants.
- Practical Session: Equipment Maintenance: Dive into the practical aspects of archery equipment maintenance in this hands-on workshop designed for Archery GB instructors. This session offers a unique opportunity to learn and apply essential repair and maintenance techniques directly on your gear. Understand the importance of keeping bows, arrows, and other equipment in top condition to ensure a safe and exceptional archery experience. Through interactive activities, you'll gain valuable skills in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining equipment, enhancing both performance and safety. Join us to master the art of equipment upkeep and provide your archers with the best possible tools for success in a secure and enjoyable environment.
- Neurodiversity in Archery Insight: We will present the headline data from our work with Liverpool Centre for Olympic Research on Inclusion (LCORI) to better understand the needs of neurodivergent archers and coaches
- How can we support you: How can we improve our AAP/Instructor offer and help promote your archery services? What future support/networking opportunities do you want?
