Session Coach – Using Your Coaching Skills

 

Welcome to the Archery GB Session Coach workshop “Using Your Coaching Skills - Module 5". Participating in this event contributes to the completion of Archery GB’s Session Coach course. This workshop is designed to help coaches apply their course knowledge, with an emphasis on using drills and skills to enhance the quality of practice for archers.

 

Key Objectives:

  • Apply Knowledge: Enable coaches to use theoretical knowledge effectively.
  • Skill Development: Focus on enhancing practice sessions with specific drills.
  • Quality Improvement: Improve practice quality through structured coaching.
  • Practical Implementation: Provide hands-on experience with real-world coaching.
  • Feedback and Adjustment: Teach constructive feedback and training plan adjustments.
 

Duration:

One day in-person workshop: Join us for an engaging, all-day workshop designed to be both informative and interactive. You’ll participate in hands-on activities, group discussions, and practical exercises, guided by experienced Coach Developers. This workshop offers a collaborative and supportive environment to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Time:  9am-5pm

 

Price:  This workshop costs £80 per learner

 

Additional Information:  A certificate will be awarded upon successful completion.

 

Workshop Outcome:

By the end of this workshop, participants will effectively apply their coaching skills to enhance archer performance and development. Coaches will design and implement diverse practice sessions, provide constructive feedback, and foster a positive training environment, leading to improved engagement, skill acquisition, and overall performance.

Learner Cancellation and Transfer Policy

  • All transfer requests will receive a refund of their fees, minus £5 admin fee and any transaction charges. Learners must then re-register for the next available module.
  • Archery GB reserves the right to cancel or reschedule sessions, modify terms, or refuse service under certain conditions.
  • Cancellations by Learners within 10 days of a Session Coach module commencing will incur the full cost of the module (£30 for online modules and £80 for in-person workshops).
  • No-shows will be charged the full session fee.  They must then re-register for the next available module.
 

All registrations and payments are now processed through Sport80. We recommend that individuals register and pay directly via Sport80, if they are receiving support from their club then the learner should pay first and then claim any funding back through their club. If this isn’t feasible, please reach out to us at coaching@archerygb.org, and we’ll do our best to assist you.
