Level 3 Programme Coach - “Coaching at the Next Level: The Art of Coaching, Best Practice, and Coaching Behaviours.”
Welcome to the Archery GB Programme Coach
module, “Coaching at the Next Level: The Art of Coaching, Best Practice, and
Coaching Behaviours.”
This is the introductory module for the Level 3 Programme Coach course.
Throughout this programme, you will be supported in your personal development as you learn how to elevate your coaching practice. You will explore the principles of effective coaching, develop strong and intentional coaching behaviours, and gain clarity on the expectations and requirements of the Programme Coach pathway. Your Coach Developer will guide you through the process and help you get started on this next stage of your coaching journey.
The course includes guided discussion groups
and project-based tasks to complete between sessions.
Once registered, you will have 2–3 years to complete all modules and
course requirements, giving you the flexibility to work at your own pace.
Extensions can be granted where appropriate.
Key Objectives
- Understanding the Programme Coach Pathway: What you will achieve and how the qualification is structured.
- Coaching Behaviours: Identifying what great coaching looks like and developing behaviours that support high-quality practice.
- Reflective Practice: Learning why reflection is essential for continual improvement and performance as a coach.
- Personal Development: Creating and implementing your own development plan to support your coaching growth.
- Coaching Philosophy: Developing a personal coaching philosophy to guide your decision-making and practice.
- Seasonal Programme Planning: Designing annual training programmes that help athletes achieve their goals.
- Learning How to Learn: Building the mindset and skills of a lifelong learner within the sport of archery.
Duration
2 x 2-hour online sessions:
Join our interactive virtual classrooms, designed to be engaging,
collaborative, and supportive. These sessions provide opportunities for shared
learning, discussion, and guided practice.
Further technical guidance will be provided once your registration is complete.

1st Session - Monday, 5 January 2026
2nd Session - Monday, 12 January 2026
3rd Session – Monday, 19 January 2026
4th Session - Monday, 26 January 2026
Time: 7pm-9pm
Price: This module costs £60 per learner
What you need to attend: You must have an Archery GB Level 2 or Development Coach qualification to register for this course. If you achieved your qualification in the older system, you will need to complete the Empowering Archery Part 1 and Part 2 modules, as well as a Shooting Technique/Drills and Skills Workshop before completing the course. There will be a maximum of 20 learners in attendance, thereby creating a personalised learning experience and providing opportunities for you to interact with the course deliverer and the rest of the group.

How to attend: Once payment has been made for your entry fee, you will receive a payment confirmation email with instructions on how to join the online module.
Outcomes
By the end of this module, you will have a clear understanding of what effective coaching looks like and how to continue developing your coaching skills. You will also understand the key steps required to progress through and complete the Programme Coach course.

Learner Cancellation and Transfer Policy
- All transfer requests will receive a refund of their fees, minus £5 admin fee and any transaction charges. Learners must then re-register for the next available module.
- Archery GB reserves the right to cancel or reschedule sessions, modify terms, or refuse service under certain conditions.
- Cancellations by Learners within 10 days of a Programme Coach module commencing will incur the full cost of the module.
- No-shows will be charged the full session fee. They must then re-register for the next available module.
- Learners arriving more than 15 minutes after the scheduled start time will be considered a no-show. This policy helps prevent disruption to the Coach Developer and fellow learners.
All registrations and payments are now processed through Sport80. We recommend that individuals register and pay directly via Sport80, if they are receiving support from their club then
