About the Event
The SLA Indoor Rings Series
South Leeds Archers welcomes you to the 2nd Indoor Ring Series. An annual non-record status competition series comprising four individual events. Each event is its own separate competition so there is no requirement to attend all four of them, however if you want to be the one to rule them all, the results will be entered into a league table for individual glory across all bow types and age groups.
The 4 events are as follows and each has a morning or afternoon option. The entry fee per event is £9 or £32 if you book all four events as a bundle (see the checkout options when buying)
1. The Fellowship. Single Portsmouth on the 12th November 2023
Compounds will shoot on a triple spot face (one per archer) all other bows will have 2 details sharing the standard 60cm face
2. The Two Target Faces. Single Worcester on the 10th December 2023
Compounds will shoot on a 5- spot face all other bows will shoot the standard 16” face arranged in two rows and alternate faces after 30 arrows. For the league series the scores will be doubled to give a score out of 600 to match the other rounds.
3. The Hobbit. WA18 Round on the 21st January 2024
Compounds will shoot on a triple spot face (one per archer) all other bows will have an individual 40cm face arranged in two rows.
4. The Return of the Kings. VEGAS 600 Round on the 3rd March 2024
All archers will shoot the 3-spot Vegas face arranged in two rows and one face per archer.
There are 24 places available for each session, please get in touch before booking if you have any special needs such as requiring an empty detail (eg archers that need to stay on the shooting line)
Awards
Single Event Awards: Individual Event Medals according to entry for each bow type and age group
Series Awards: Individual Series Winners Award according to entry for each bow type and age group. Perpetual shield to be displayed at the club featuring winners in each category each year.
Registration and Sighters: For the morning sessions: Registration starts at 8:00am and assembly is at 9:30am followed by sighters/practice. For the afternoon sessions it’s Registration from 12:30pm and 1:30pm for assembly followed by sighters/practice.
Target lists will be published and emailed to participants the week before each event starts.
Information about the event: This is a on record status competition, the range has 2 flights of stairs to our floor. If you would like to visit the venue in advance of booking please contact us to arrange it. There will be hot and cold drinks available throughout the day. Photographs will be taken of the medal awards and shared via social media. Results will be published on our website and Yorkshire Archery Association results section of their site.
