About the Event
You only need to register for this event, if you want to take part in the Thumb Draw Competition.
For other information about the launch and have a go, please e-mail jamila.bi@archerygb. org and gayle.pink@archerygb.org
Thumb draw archery, a technique with deep roots in Central Asian, Islamic, and Eastern traditions, is enjoying a resurgence in the UK. While the Asiatic Bow is already recognised within Archery GB’s Rules of Shooting, the introduction of an Instructor Award with Thumb Draw specialist knowledge, along with CPD opportunities for Licensed Coaches and tailored resources, will significantly elevate this historic discipline
We are excited to invite you to a special launch event, taking place on 24 August, hosted at AGB’s Performance Archery Centre which will include a thumb draw have a go event, an opportunity to meet with Alperen Alkan a world champion in horseback archery followed with a competition/festival being delivered by Crescent Archers in the afternoon.
