Archery GB National 3D Championships 2023

The 2023 Archery GB British 3D Championship will be hosted by Ballands Bowmen near Wincanton, Somerset on 10 and 11 June.

Ballands Bowmen is a club with a long history of achievement in Field and 3D archery and this year’s British 3D Championship will be the highlight of the 3D calendar.

Registration opens at TBC on both days during equipment inspection.

Event timings

Assembly 10.30 on Saturday, 10.00 on Sunday. Archers arriving late may join their shooting group at the Tournament Organiser’s discretion, but will forfeit the scores from any targets already shot.

Event format

The Championships will consist of two WA 24 3D rounds, shot to World Archery rules.

Prizes

British Championship medals will be awarded to the highest placed archers holding, or eligible to hold, a British passport. 

British Championship medals will be awarded in all WA recognised categories according to the number of entries. 2 – 3 entries = gold medal. 4 – 7 entries = gold and silver medals, 8 or more entries = gold, silver and bronze medals. 

British 3D Archery Championship medals may also be awarded to in non-WA recognized categories according to the number of entries. 4 - 6 entries = gold medal, 7 – 9 entries = gold and silver medal, 9+ entries = gold, silver and bronze medal. Winners of non-WA recognized categories without sufficient entries will be awarded UTC medals only.

Proof of your Archery GB membership will be required.

Urgent event notifications will be published on all of Archery GB’s social media platforms. The entry list is available on the AGB entry portal.

Parking will be available for free at the field. 

No refunds will be given 28 days before the event. Refunds prior to this will be as advertised on Sport:80 when you enter and will be administered 5 working days after the event. 

The decision of the Competitions and Events Manager will be final. 

Please refer to Archery GB rules of shooting for dress regulations, all archers should comply with dress regulations until after presentations of the awards. 

Archers competing at record status tournaments may be subject to testing. Competitors who are approached to give samples must comply; Non-compliance will be treated as a positive result. By entering this competition, you consent to testing, this is in line with UK Anti-Doping Policy, Rule 5.7.2. 

Smoking/vaping is not allowed.

Event formats can be changed on the day due to unforeseen circumstances by the competition manager, organiser and judge in charge in collaboration with competitors. 

Lost arrows must be reported to a judge or member of the field party (please remember to inform them if you later find the arrow). It is the archer’s responsibility to account for all arrows before leaving the field. 

Animals will not be allowed at this event, except for assistance dogs.

By entering this event you agree that details such as Name, Bowstyle, Category or Club may be published in documents or lists relating to the event, and at a schedule decided by Archery GB Competitions.

The Starting List will be published on the day. Please contact the organiser if you need confirmation of entry. Results will be published on the Archery GB website. 

Your email will be used for entry acknowledgement. 

All entries will be treated in accordance with the Archery GB privacy notice and subject to Archery GB’s competition terms and conditions.
