The Recognition Awards are our way of celebrating our volunteers and clubs who work tirelessly to bring archery to all. Find out below how you can nominate an individual, club or organisation who makes a difference to archery.
We want to recognise and celebrate the achievements and endless hard work that our passionate clubs and volunteers have put in, ensuring that as many people as possible can enjoy our sport.
Nominate an individual, club, or organisation today for our 2025 Recognition and Performance Awards at the Performance Archery Centre in Lilleshall this November.
The Archery GB Recognition Awards are your chance to shine a spotlight on the unsung heroes of our community who support archery at clubs, Archery Activity Partners (AAPs), and schools across the UK.
The awards support Archery GB's vision of Enriching Lives Through Archery, and promote our values:
To nominate a person or organisation click the button below to be taken to the nomination form. Nominees must be a member of Archery GB, either as a member, club, AAP, or Instructor. You can nominate as many people or organisations as you like but you must complete one form per nomination and complete all sections of the form for your nomination to be considered.
To unite our different archery communities, the Recognition Awards will also incorporate our Performance Awards, with an opportunity to nominate your favourite high performance athlete of the year.
Nominations close at midnight on Monday 15 September.
The Recognition Awards presentation evening will take place on 29 November at the Performance Archery Centre, home of Archery GB's World Class Programme at Lilleshall National Sports Centre in Shropshire.
The top three shortlisted nominees for each award will be invited to attend, along with a plus one.

This award is for an archery club that has created a club where young people are supported, developed, and recognised for their contribution to archery |
Club: Club of the Year |
This award is for the club that has shown the biggest contribution to the development of archery and demonstrates good club organisation and management |
Archery Activity Partner: AAP of the Year |
This award is for the Archery Activity Partner that has contributed the most to the promotion and development of archery |
Coach: Coach Developer/County or Regional Coaching Officer of the Year |
This award recognises an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the learning and development of coaches or instructors |
Coach: Coach of the Year |
This award recognises the outstanding achievements of a coach or instructor who has created empowering experiences, shown innovation and creativity in their delivery, and made archery more welcoming and inclusive |
Coach: Inclusive Coaching Award |
This award is for a coach, instructor project/programme or intervention that uses great coaching to encourage more people from diverse backgrounds to get and stay active |
Volunteer: Judge of the Year |
Recognising the much-valued commitment judges make in ensuring the successful implementation of our competition and events structure. This is awarded to a judge of any level |
Volunteer: Disability Archery Award - The Gussy Trophy |
Awarded to anyone who has advocated, supported, or developed, disability archery |
Volunteer: Volunteer of the Year – Hartwell Trophy |
Awarded to someone who is considered to have given exemplary service to archery during the year in any area of the sport – administration, coaching, competition, or development |
Volunteer: Young Volunteer of the Year |
This award is for a young person aged 25 and under who has demonstrated enthusiasm and commitment to the promotion of archery and made a strong impact through volunteering or coaching |
Volunteer: Best Archery Photo of the Year |
This award recognises the best photo that captures the essence of archery – enriching lives through archery! |
Athlete: High Performance Athlete of the Year Award |
This award recognises the outstanding performance of an Archery GB high performance athlete, who has competed at an international level; disciplines include field, target or 3D from 1 October 2024 - 1 September 2025 |
When nominating, you will need to identify the award category and provide contact information for yourself and the nominee. You will also need to provide evidence that demonstrates how the club, AAP, coach, or volunteer meets the criteria for the award by answering the following questions:
If your nominee is successfully shortlisted, we will contact them to request a photo for our awards booklet and will send them an invitation for themselves and a plus one to attend the awards.
The Recognition Awards previously featured categories for OnTarget clubs. We have refreshed the OnTarget scheme and are piloting it in some areas before opening it out to all clubs who wish to take part later this year. The OnTarget award categories will return from 2026 once the refreshed scheme has been launched.

There are sections for individuals and for organisations such as clubs, counties, regions or other organisations delivering archery.
