Reach more people in sport and physical activity through inclusive and accessible practice.
This is a 2-hour workshop on how to effectively reach and engage more disabled people through inclusive practice utilising more accessible and better communication practices.
Participants will be able to:
- Use data and insight to inform decision making
- Understand the barriers to being physically active for disabled people (including information from during the pandemic)
- Apply the Activity Alliance 10 Principles of good engagement and utilise coproduction for delivery
- Understand how inclusive communications engages more than just disabled people
- Use appropriate language when discussing or referring to disability
- Identify the basic principles of inclusive communication, through online and offline activities
· Access tips of embedding key principles in to your own communications strategies and activities
This
workshop if ideal for those who want to learn more about the latest insight on
disabled people being physically active, as well as engagement principles and
quality communication practices. Everyone will go away with the enthusiasm and
key learning points to develop their own strategies.
