Engaging Disabled People in Physical Activity (Online Workshop)

Cost: £15 (the cost has been subsidised by the Fletchers Trust) 

This workshop will be delivered by Activity Alliance.

Reach more people in sport and physical activity through inclusive and accessible practice. This is a 2-hour workshop on how to effectively reach and engage more disabled people through inclusive practice utilising more accessible and better communication practices.

3. Engaging disabled people
4. Inclusive communications 
5. Improving accessibility 

Aims:

• Improve confidence and competence when working with disabled people.
• Provide useful research and insight.
• Explain the basic principles of engagement. 
• Explore how inclusive and accessible communications can engage disabled people.

This workshop is ideal for those who want to learn more about the latest insight on disabled people being physically active, as well as engagement principles and quality communication practices. Everyone will go away with the enthusiasm and key learning points to develop their own strategies.
