Development Coach - Empowering Archery (Part 2)
Welcome to the Archery GB Development Coach module, “Empowering Archery (Part 2).” This advanced workshop is designed for experienced archers and builds on the concepts introduced in “Empowering Archery (Part 1).” In this session, we will delve deeper into defining empowerment within the context of archery, explore the health benefits associated with an empowering environment, and establish the foundations for creating such climates. By participating, you will acquire the skills necessary to foster an empowering atmosphere within your archery club.
Our program is based on well-established motivational research and specific studies in archery, delivered in collaboration with the University of Birmingham.
Key Objectives:
- Understand Climate Dimensions in Archery: Gain insights into factors influencing the training and competitive environment.
- Identify Barriers to Empowerment: Recognize obstacles hindering empowerment among archers and coaching staff.
- Develop Strategies for Empowerment: Implement effective strategies to create a more empowering climate, enhancing performance and motivation.
- Monitor and Evaluate Your Archery Climate: Establish methods to continuously assess and ensure a supportive and empowering environment for all participants.
Duration
2 x 2-hour sessions: Join our online interactive classrooms, designed to be both engaging and informative. These sessions offer a collaborative and supportive environment for your learning. Time: 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
Price: This module costs £30 per learner.
Additional Information:
- A digital version of the workbook Empowering Archery (Part 2) will be provided.
- A certificate will be awarded upon successful completion.
Outcomes:
By the end of the Archery GB Development Coach module, “Empowering Archery (Part 2),” participants will be able to create an empowering club environment, understand and apply empowerment in coaching, promote health benefits, and establish a climate that enhances performance and well-being.

Learner Cancellation/Transfer Policy:
- All requests for transfers made by Learners will incur an admin charge of £5 (unless prior agreement has been made).
- Cancellations by Learners within 10 days of a Development Coach module commencing will incur the full cost of the module.
- No-shows will be charged the full session fee.
- Learners arriving more than 15 minutes after the start time will be considered a no-show. This is to avoid disruption to the Coach Developer and the other learners.
