Coaching Technique - Practice (open to all archers)
Welcome to Archery GB’s “Coaching Technique - Practice” workshop! This session is a key component of the Development Coach qualification but is open to archers of all levels. It provides an opportunity to apply the knowledge gained in “Archery Technique - Drills & Skills.” You will practice your coaching skills with real-life archers under the supervision of your coach developer. Completing this module contributes towards Archery GB’s Development Coach (Level 2) award. This hands-on practical workshop is designed to help coaches evaluate and develop their archer’s technical skills.
Key Objectives:
- Interactive Presentation: Detailed explanation of advanced shooting techniques in Archery GB’s Technical Framework.
- Current Coaching Practices: Master modern methods for efficient shooting.
- Technique Enhancement: Identify and refine specific areas of an archer’s technique.
- Drills and Skills Practice: Engage in advanced drills targeting improvement areas.
- Supervised Coaching Experience: Gain practical coaching experience and develop a comprehensive training plan.
Duration:
One day in-person workshop: Join us for an engaging, all-day workshop designed to be both informative and interactive. You’ll participate in hands-on activities, group discussions, and practical exercises, guided by experienced Coach Developers. This workshop offers a collaborative and supportive environment to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Venue: Greenwood Academy, 7 Corsehill Mount Road, North Ayrshire, Scotland KA11 4HL.
Time: 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Price: This workshop costs £82 per learner.
Additional Information: A certificate will be awarded upon successful completion.
Outcomes:
By the end of this workshop, participants will have applied advanced coaching techniques from “Archery Technique - Drills & Skills.” Participants will have honed their coaching skills through hands-on experience with real archers, guided by a coach developer. Participants will be adept at evaluating and enhancing an archer’s technical skills and will have created a tailored training plan.

Learner Cancellation/Transfer Policy:
- Transfer Requests: All transfer requests will incur a £5 admin charge (unless previously agreed otherwise).
- Cancellations: Cancellations within 10 days of the Session Coach workshop start date will be charged the full cost.
- No-Shows: Learners who do not attend will be charged the full workshop fee.
