Session Coach - Supported Practice & Coach Presentation

 

Welcome to the Archery GB Session Coach workshop “Supported Practice & Coach Presentation - Module 6”. This is the finale module of the Session Coach course. Coaches will conduct a sample coaching session with peers, demonstrating the skills and knowledge from previous modules. This hands-on experience is the final step in the pathway, preparing you to lead and inspire your archers.

 

Key Objectives:

  • Demonstrate Skills and Knowledge: Coaches will showcase the skills and knowledge acquired from previous modules through a sample coaching session with peers.
  • Build Confidence: Develop the confidence to effectively present and lead coaching sessions.
  • Achieve Certification: Complete the final step towards earning your Session Coach certification by meeting all the necessary requirements.
 

Session Coach Assessment Day: This event is exclusively for participants who have completed all modules of the Session Coach course and 12 hours of supported practice. Please ensure you meet these criteria before registering.

Time:  9am-5pm

 

Price:  This workshop costs £80 per learner

 

Additional Information

  • A certificate will be awarded upon successful completion.
  • A Session Coach qualification issued upon completion.
  • An Archery GB Session Coach Licence will be issued once all the necessary requirements are met. These include completing the Session Coach course, obtaining safeguarding and protecting children certification, maintaining a current AGB Membership, and securing an Enhanced Disclosure through DBS/PVG/Access NI.

Support for participants with additional needs: Archery is an inclusive sport, and we welcome individuals of all abilities to train as coaches. If you have a disability or additional learning needs, reasonable adjustments can be arranged during training and assessment. Workshop Outcome:

By the end of this workshop, you will have demonstrated significant practical coaching experience and gained the confidence to present your coaching sessions effectively. You will be fully prepared to lead your archers to success and achieve your certification as a Session Coach.

Learner Cancellation and Transfer Policy

  • All transfer requests will receive a refund of their fees, minus £5 admin fee and any transaction charges. Learners must then re-register for the next available workshop.
  • Archery GB reserves the right to cancel or reschedule workshops/sessions, modify terms, or refuse service under certain conditions.
  • Cancellations: Cancellations within 10 days of the Session Coach workshop start date will be charged the full cost.
  • No-Shows: Learners who do not attend will be charged the full workshop fee.
 

All registrations and payments are now processed through Sport80. We recommend that individuals register and pay directly via Sport80, if they are receiving support from their club then the learner should pay first and then claim any funding back through their club. If this isn’t feasible, please reach out to us at coaching@archerygb.org, and we’ll do our best to assist you.
