Could you help inspire a love of archery that lasts a lifetime? Archery in the UK is powered by volunteers within our network of clubs and it is these amazing people who make the archery experience so great for all those involved. We have therefore recruited a team of inspirational Archery GB Ambassadors who can help promote archery, improve the archery experience to all involved and help their clubs develop. Becoming an Archery GB Ambassador is a great way of sharing your love of archery with people who might not otherwise be able to access it.

Archery GB Ambassadors are a team of inspirational volunteers who want to encourage more people to get into archery, feel welcomed at clubs and develop a love for the sport.
Archery GB Ambassadors’ aim is to:
Becoming an Archery GB Ambassador is a great way of sharing your love of archery with people who might not otherwise be able to access it. By sharing your stories, campaigning and organising events, you can reach out to members of your community and inspire them to try our wonderful sport.
As well as supporting archery and helping your club to grow, you’ll be developing transferable skills that can enrich your life and which look great on a CV or university application. You’ll be working on your people skills, public speaking, events organisation, marketing and social media, and volunteer recruitment and management, to name just a few.
Plus you get the feeling of fulfilment knowing that your hard work is supporting the sport you love.
Archery GB will provide Ambassadors with training opportunities, mentored support, resources, equipment and opportunities to work together.
Ambassadors have signed up to support the programme for a minimum of two years.
Max Oakley, teenage archer and award winning AGB Ambassador has delivered some amazing initiatives in his local schools in Telford, Shropshire. Max engaged with over 500 pupils over the course of an open day that he promoted.
Max also assisted with an archery taster day for refugee children, linking up with a local charity, Shropshire Supports Refugees. Together they held a day of fun, including lessons in the morning and a mini competition in the afternoon, for over 40 children and young people.
Rahma An-Nisa is an AGB National Talent Development Programme athlete and an inspiring Archery GB Ambassador. She says “Sometimes I notice people getting demoralised… I remind them that they should enjoy the process and not worry too much about getting it right.”
Gayle Pink, Archery GB's Head of Participation, said: "We are absolutely delighted to launch the appointment of 19 new young Ambassadors, from across the whole of the UK, who are such positive role models for archery."
