We had to postpone our Annual General Meeting (AGM) planned for Saturday 18 April 2020 in Birmingham due to the lockdown in place at the time. Under our Articles of Association, we must hold an AGM within 15 months of the date of the last AGM, which took place on 13 April 2019. We have therefore chosen Saturday 11 July 2020 as the date for reconvening this year's AGM which will take place at 11.00am.
We have considered the best way to hold this meeting without putting any of our members, staff or volunteers at risk and have decided it is best to hold the AGM online.
Members should not attend the meeting in person.
We will ensure that we have the minimum number of members present online for the meeting to be quorate. The quorum is 40 people.
Given the highly unusual circumstances, we propose that we will restrict the meeting purely to the formal elements required by our Articles of Association. Â The meeting will be held to pass the resolutions to:
All members were given the opportunity to vote online and their votes will be carried forward to the meeting.
Regrettably we will not be providing the usual conference and update before the AGM. However, we will publish our Yearbook online, which will update you on our progress against our strategic plan. Â If you have any questions that you would like to raise ahead of the AGM, please email your questions to membership@archerygb.org by Tuesday 30 June, and we will endeavour to respond to them at the AGM.
If it is possible we would like to hold further member events later in the year. We will continue to monitor the situation, as well as exploring digital solutions, which will allow us to share our plans and give you the opportunity to ask questions and input into our future direction.
If you would like to attend the virtual AGM, please let us know by emailing membership@archerygb.org with your name and AGB membership number (found on your membership card) and we will send you the login details.
Thank you.
