The GB team for the upcoming World Cup stage in Antalya is announced
The third stage of the 2025 Hyundai World Cup in Antalya, taking place from 3-8 June, will look a little different to the previous two stages this season. World Archery are using this event to trial a different round. Instead of the shooting 72 arrows during the WA 70/50 qualification round, archers will shoot 60 arrows. Throughout the whole competition, Xs will also be worth 11 points.
The goal is to separate the top high-scoring athletes and create a more tense, exciting competition, which is a testament to the high standard of shooting at these world-class events. Not only this, but the format allows for a shorter schedule, making attending more cost-effective for athletes.
After the roaring success at stage two in Shanghai with Ella Gibson and Ajay Scott winning mixed team gold, the compound team are keeping their eyes on the prize. The team is comprised of three compound women and three compound men, bringing together group with many caps and medals under their belt. For one of the women, Chloe A’Bear, this will mark her first senior international for GB after showing her abilities on the youth stage.
