Neil Bridgewater is from Biggleswade, in Bedfordshire and is a member of Hinxworth Archers. He first had a go at archery at a school fete and joined his local club in the school holidays in 1980. Neil’s biggest achievements so far are shooting recurve for GB, he scored 1316 for WA 1440 and won European indoor team bronze. Shooting compound for GB he scored 1407 for WA1440, won European Team Gold, won the National series twice, and ranked number 1 in the UK. He is also proud to still be shooting after 42 years. His goals for the year ahead are to maintain the UK ranking top 8, qualify for the National Tour Final, represent GB and get his international ranking back up to where it used to be. 

Away from archery, he is a network manager for a special needs school and enjoys computers, radio-controlled vehicles and DIY.
