Bayley Sargeant, from the University of Kent AC, has won the second stage of the Indoor World Series Online.
With 361 entries in the Compound Women division, Bayley took first place with 595/600 points. Â We caught up with Bayley;
"The win feels amazing, but virtual tournaments can't quite compare to the real thing. For me, I'm proud of shooting a big score under nerves and pressure. The nerves I felt when shooting this weren't the same as standing on a competition line, but they were still there in a way. I knew that when I started scoring, this was the real thing - and that always makes me nervous.
"Even though virutal tournaments aren't the same, I'm still extremely grateful for them. They give us something to train towards and focus on. I think that's really important at the moment. I really encourage everyone who has access to a range to go and shoot these virtual events.
"I have been lucky enough to keep training while staying in Croatia, which I think has helped my scores. I'm now back home in Kent, so after my self-isolation period, I don't know how much I will be able to train. At the moment, I'm really hoping that I will be able to compete in the next World Archery Indoor World Series event."
