Do you know someone in your archery club whose superpowers extend far beyond the shooting line? Someone whose dedication, resilience, and selflessness make them a true Archery Superhero? It's time to shine a spotlight on these extraordinary individuals through our special competition designed to celebrate the unsung heroes of the archery community.
Our competition seeks to honour people with 'special powers' – those who have triumphed over adversity, lent a helping hand to others, or achieved remarkable personal milestones. This is not your typical recognition awards ceremony; instead, we're delving into the heartwarming human stories that often go unnoticed. Whether they're volunteers, parents, coaches, or club members, if they've made a difference in the archery world, we want to hear about them!
They don't have to be a member; they just have to be amazing. They might be the parent who always comes along and makes the tea while their child is shooting, or the person who arrives early every week to make sure the bosses are out or stays late to get everything tidied away. It might be the person whose journey through the sport has inspired you and encouraged you to try something different. These people never ask for recognition, they do it out of love for the sport and the club, and their contributions deserve to be recognised and celebrated. By nominating an Archery Superhero, you're not only acknowledging their incredible contributions but also amplifying their impact within the archery community.
Once the nominations close, three will be chosen and will go to a public vote on social media. The overall winner will be announced and celebrated in the Summer 2024 issue of Archery UK. But the recognition doesn't stop there – we'll also share the stories of our nominated Superheroes across our media platforms, inspiring others to try archery and highlighting the profound social impact of our sport.
But wait, there's more! The club of the winning Archery Superhero will receive a £200 prize, while the clubs of the two runners-up will each receive £100. Additionally, all three shortlisted nominees will receive certificates commemorating their selfless dedication and remarkable achievements.
So, let's honour our Archery Superheroes and showcase the power of kindness, dedication, and community spirit within the archery world.
