Enter the Community Sport and Recreation Awards 2024

The Community Sport and Recreation Awards 2024 are open for entries. Clubs are eligible through their connection to Archery GB, so get your applications ready!

The awards, which have been running for more than 25 years, celebrate the full breadth and power of sport and recreation, from rowing projects and rugby clubs to inclusive sport charities and climbing centres. And members of Archery GB are encouraged to enter.

Submitting an entry is simple and free, and they are keen to hear about projects and initiatives that work with people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.

There are eight categories, with each winning project picking up a £1,000 prize at the awards ceremony next year – location and date to be confirmed soon. The eight categories are:

  • Community Club of the Year
  • Diversity and Inclusion Award
  • Going Green Award
  • Inspiration of the Year
  • Mental Health and Wellbeing Award
  • Resilience in Adversity Award
  • Volunteer of the Year
  • Youth Development Award

The prize money has helped previous winners to grow and sustain their initiatives by providing them with additional financial resources.

If you're struggling for inspiration, the Sport and Recreation Alliance have put together a top tips document to help you get started with your entry.

The deadline for applications is Friday 24 November 2023.

For more details on the process, the criteria and how to enter, visit the Community Sport and Recreation Awards page or email awards@sportandrecreation.org.uk.
