If you're looking at how to become a volunteer, here are some simple tips to get you going!
It is easier than you may think to become a volunteer in archery. It starts in clubs, and progresses to judging, coaching, Archery GB national competitions, the ambassador programme.
Archery clubs are run by volunteers and regularly need more help as clubs grow and situations change. Being part of a club is more than just shooting. It is helping with maintenance, website updates, social media, equipment, competitions, scores, and the list goes on!
If you want to help at your club, speak to members on the club committee. They will help you find your niche within the club. Some roles might be seen as 'small', but they all bring the club together and help progress it.
At your club, you may run a competition. This would be a great opportunity to get involved. There are many jobs including field of play, administration, results.

Archery GB National Competitions are always looking for volunteers. There are opportunities to become lead roles and learn how to use an online scoring system and streaming. Please see here.
The Ambassdaor and Mentor programme is a great way to volunteer. You will be involved with key grassroots campaigns and implementing them across the UK. For more information, see here.
Make sure you look out on social for advertisements for working groups on specific projects throughout the year and call for volunteers for certain events.
