It's official! The team of international technical officials - or judges - for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games has been officially announced following its approval by World Archery's executive board. The team will include 14 judges and two alternates.
Representing the Olympics for GB, Hannah Brown will act as chair, while Graham Potts, who was chair of the commission at Rio 2016 will be a member of the jury of appeal at Tokyo 2020.
Graham said: "I'm delighted to have been appointed as a Member of the Jury of Appeal at the Tokyo Olympics - my third Olympic Games, and I am as excited with this appointment as I have been with the others. I am also delighted to see my colleagues Hannah and Katy are appointed to the judge commissions for the Olympics/Paralympics. Great news for AGB judging!"
A further 14 judges plus two alternates have been named for the Paralympic Games. That team will be chaired by the USA's Bob Pian, and has Katy Lipscomb as deputy from GB, while Italy's Andrea Bortot is director of shooting.
Katy said: Â"I am very honoured to have been selected by World Archery and to represent Archery GB Judges at such a prestigious event. I am so excited about going to Tokyo and working with such a great team of judges. Para archery shows all that is wonderful about our sport - that anyone can take part, so to judge at the Paralympics is a huge privilege. I can't wait for August!”
