The champions of the 2024 Junior Archery Series were crowned at Meriden Archery Club.
The 2024 Junior Archery Series has come to a close following Saturday's eagerly-anticipated finals!
Hosted by Meriden Archery Club, the finals brought together 92 recurve, compound and barebow archers aged between 11 and 20. In order to earn one of the coveted final places, each athlete had to compete in at least three of the five stages held across the country.
Alan Smith, Tournament Organiser, said: "It was good to welcome so many young archers to Meriden. Given that to qualify for this event they had to have competed in at least three of the stages, which ranged from Woking in the south to as far north as Ayr, I have to complement them on their commitment. Several of the head-to-heads went to a single arrow shoot-off, including three medal matches."

Compound Youth Women's champion, Patience Wood, said: "The finals were a great learning experience for me this year with the wind being fairly tricky to read at times. It meant I had to work harder to get tens and not let the fatigue I was feeling impact on my shooting, which I think will be one of the most valuable lesson I’ve learnt this season in preparation for outdoor seasons to come. The finals and the stages as a whole created such a nice environment for us juniors to be able to have a laugh and enjoy shooting whilst also simultaneously being able to learn and grow."
We already can't wait for next year's tournament. Who will be the 2025 champion?
