The 2024 UK Masters explained

This year, the UK Masters has been revamped and will go a little differently to previous editions. Archery GB are excited to introduce the repechage matches for the second day of competition. This means a whole day of head-to-head matches!

Round:

Saturday 29 June

  • Double WRS 70m & 50m

              - Recurve & Longbow 70m

              - Compound & Barebow 50m

Sunday 30 June

  • Repechage head-to-head matches. There will be matches held to shoot for every position. The number of matches required will be dependent on the number of entries in a category.

How will Sunday work?

  • Archers will be seeded into matches using the qualification placements from the Saturday
  • You will be given a scoresheet as per normal eliminations
  • If you win your match, keep your scoresheet and move targets to the next match
  • If you lose, hand in your score scoresheet and you will be given a new one
  • See the example below:

Due to the nature of the format, we cannot give exact timings as to when everything will start. We will start on time for the first round the day and will follow the speed of the shoot.

Also, we can’t guarantee the number of matches a person will have due to the sizes of the categories. If people don’t attend the day for example, this would change the number of matches.

Events and Competitions Manager, Jon Nott, said: “This is an exciting new format for the UK Masters, and we’re looking forward to being able to finally start the 2024 National Tour off with a bang this weekend!”
