Lilleshall will once again host The Worshipful Company of Fletchers' Disability Championships on 10 September, and this year promises to be bigger and better than ever!
This year, there are more categories available, allowing anyone with a disability to enter. Here's what you can expect from the day:
Registration is open from 8:00am on the 10 September. Archers will be categorised by distance choice unless Para classified.
9:00am - Practice
Three ends. The competition will start straight after practice.
Qualification round
72 arrows shot at the distance of your choice in ends of six.
Head-to-head matches
Matches between two archers in the same category. Each archer has 20 seconds to shoot each arrow. (Except the W1 category who get 30 seconds in alternate match play).
Recurve - Set scoring
Each set consists of three arrows. If an athlete wins the match, they win 2 set points, a tie is worth 1 set point. The winner is the first archer to gain 6 points.
Compound - Cumulative scoring
Athletes will shoot 5 ends, 3 arrows per end, totalling 15 arrows with a maximum score of 150 points.
