The selection policy for the 2019 World University Games which will be held in Naples, Italy from 3-14 July has been published.
The World University Games is held every two years and is widely recognised as the second largest multi-sport Games in the world after the Olympics. With over 10,000 participants from over 150 countries, the event is World Class in its scale and standard. At the last Games in 2017, Rio Olympic team Gold medallist Choi Misun was knocked out in the 1/8 round, with her compatriot, Kang Chae Young, going on to take the women's individual gold medal.
Recurve and Compound athletes seeking to represent Great Britain will be required to successfully progress through two stages of selection:
Stage 1
Athletes will be able to submit up to ten WA70/WA50 scores to a score tracker. Scores from 1 April 2018 can be submitted and the deadline to submit scores is 1 April 2019.

Athletes will be nominated based on the standard of their submitted scores.
Stage 2
Once athletes have been selected and ratified, they will be expected to maintain or improve standards during Stage 2 and demonstrate the winning behaviours of a champion.
