After two days of shooting, the British Target Championships has its 2023 winners.
Following Saturday’s National Tour day and the first part of the British Championships, the Sunday showcased the WA 1440.
One of the standout performances of the day went to compound woman world number 1 Ella Gibson. She started the day with a 354 at 70m which broke the world record by one point. The final 3 dozen of the day at 30m saw her take another world record with a perfect 29x 360, breaking the old record by two Xs. This shooting placed her in 1st, awarding her the British title.
Another display of top-class shooting was by barebow woman Sarah Hubbard. On the Saturday she ranked first in qualifying and first in the head-to-head matches. And on the Sunday, she topped off her winning weekend with another first place to complete the trio and earn her the Championship win.
