Archery GB job vacancy – Performance Coach Developer

Following a coaching review, the Performance Archery World Class Programme (WCP) is seeking to recruit a Performance Coach Developer to work with coaches in the Olympic, Paralympic and Pathway programmes.

Job title: Performance Coach Developer

Salary: c.£40,000

Location: Lilleshall National Sports Centre, Shropshire and Home Based

In recognition of the increased athlete numbers within the Performance Archery WCP, we are seeking to increase our coaching resource. The changes are focused both on direct athlete support; as well as how coaches are developed and supported to enhance the impact of coaching on athlete progress.

Our new coaching structure reflects the future direction of the performance culture and the needs of a modern performance athlete, whereby we are seeking to drive performance standards in an engaging, supportive, and collaborative way.

This new coaching leadership role will be a part of the Performance Management Team (PMT) and will be focused on supporting the development of coaches working within the WCP. In addition, it will link with the ‘Participation Team' to ensure alignment to Archery GB's wider coach development and education objectives.

This is not a technical role, but one focused on the development of performance coaching and implementation of our defined coaching components and would be ideally suited to someone outside of the sport who can bring a wider performance coaching perspective to the WCP team.

This role will lead the development of performance coaches and the approach to coaching in the World Class Programme, through the development of performance coaching and implementation of coaching components.
