Archery GB's 360 Challenge

Archery GB introduces the 360 Challenge, a pilot virtual competition for all!

We appreciate that a lot of clubs are not back shooting yet, however, for those that are, we want to give the opportunity to all to have a competition vibe and get back to shooting. From 1 August we are introducing the Archery GB 360 Challenge that is open to all archers with a range of distances.

The Challenge is 100% virtual and no need to travel around the country to participate. It is also free to enter! We have started with 4 of the top ranked archers from the 2019 rankings to get the ball rolling, which we will show over the next couple of weeks starting with the Recurve Women.

The 360 Challenge is the perfect opportunity to mix social media and competition for all levels of archers around the UK. It is a simple 36 arrow round at the following distances;

Recurve, Barebow and Longbow:

  • 20m
  • 30m
  • 40m
  • 50m
  • 60m
  • 70m

On a 122cm face.

Compound:

  • 30m
  • 40m
  • 50m

On an 80cm face.

Why are there so many distances?

The reason behind this is to encourage all abilities and ages to take part in this virtual competition. Whether it's because of restrictions from your club, or you want to shoot at a distance you feel comfortable at, you decide!

How does social media play its part?

In order to participate in this virtual competition, you must submit a video of your target whist filming in a time-lapse format and then send it to Sophie Meering either via email (sophie.meering@archerygb.org) or Whatsapp (07887932317). Please record in landscape. You will need to include the following information when submitting your video:

  • Your name
  • The distance you shot
  • The club you shot at
  • The date you shot (so we can relate back to the scoring app)
  • The time-lapse video

How do I enter?

You enter by submitting this form; https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe55TrUNUZx9ieVev1nmxvjhoGm1cT5xqutZmvwunPIVIH3xQ/viewform?usp=sf_link

Please be aware that you will need to register a minimum of 24 hours prior to gaining access to the Ianseo Scoring app score sheet.

Along with registering, you will be using the Ianseo Score app to submit your score, followed by sending the video of your time-lapsed shooting to Sophie Meering either via email (sophie.meering@archerygb.org) or Whatsapp (07887932317), including the information detailed above.

How do I score the round?

You will need to download the Ianseo Scoring app.
