Covid-19 update: indoor archery can continue with new government guidance

Following the government's updated Covid-19 regulations, we can confirm that indoor archery can take place provided the guidance highlighted below is adhered to.

We can now confirm that indoor archery can take place provided:

  • It takes place under the updated conditions outlined in our current Covid guidelines, highlighted below, with suitable social distancing measures in place
  • It is run by an Archery GB registered club
  • The venue operator or landlord is in agreement

We have updated the club, archer and coach guidelines accordingly.

Individual targets should be booked by an archer, a single household, or a maximum of two archers from different households. For competition, please see the competition guidelines. Archers should not mix targets or groups and ensure social distancing at all times.

Whether it is indoor or outdoor shooting, please arrive at your club ready to shoot and depart as soon as you are finished. Please look after your fellow archers by maintaining social distancing, washing your hands and if you are displaying any symptoms of Covid-19, by staying at home.

Elite archery, as defined by the government, continues to comply with the Step 1-5 guidelines and is currently operating safely and in line with Step 2.

Please continue to follow updates on our social channels and website.
