The archers chosen to compete for Great Britain at the 2023 Indoor European Championships in Samsun, Turkey, have been revealed.
At the 2022 championships in Lasso, Slovenia, barebow man Ollie Hicks came away with the silver medal. He’ll return this year, gunning for that top spot on the podium which he narrowly missed out on before.
Ella Gibson came away with a gold medal for the compound women last time, and she will also be returning with the hope of retaining her title.
For the juniors, barebow women Amelia Chumber and Kathryn Morton earned the silver and the bronze medals in 2022. This year they will be joined by a third teammate making her debut, Emily Summers.
"This is a very experienced team with a huge amount of international experience. Just two members are making their international debut – Sarah Hubbard in the Senior Women Barebow category and Emily Summers in the Junior Women Barebow category, congratulations to them on their first team selection.
"We are looking forward to competing and having the support of everyone back at home who will be following the championship online. It really does make a huge difference to the archers knowing that there are supporters watching and cheering on their progress throughout the week," Victoria Williams, team manager, said.
