Free webinar on creating inclusive archery competitions

An archery club is hosting a webinar providing helpful tips and strategies on hosting inclusive events and providing a supportive environment to all.

Deer Park Archers have set an inspiring standard for inclusivity within archery, demonstrating how clubs can create opportunities for everyone, regardless of ability. Their inclusion shoot, now in its twelfth year, has increased to an inclusive series due to demand.

A key feature of their success lies in their ability to organise inclusive competitions that bring together archers of all abilities. These events are more than just tournaments, they celebrate diversity, promote fairness, and foster a sense of community. Inclusive competitions enable individuals with disabilities to compete on equal footing, providing opportunities for athletes to showcase their skills, build confidence, and experience the thrill of competition in a supportive and accessible environment.

Peter Sisson, Tournament Organiser at Deer Park Archers, will host a webinar on 18 February 2025, providing practical strategies, essential tips, and important considerations for planning and delivering inclusive events.

Peter said: "We hope this will inspire other clubs to get involved, host their own inclusion events, and help transform the Deer Park Inclusion Series into a national initiative - creating more opportunities for archers with disabilities to participate and enjoy the sport."

This webinar is perfect for club organisers, coaches, volunteers, and tournament officials who want to make a real difference. By implementing these inclusive practices, you'll not only expand participation but also strengthen your club's reputation as a leader in accessibility and inclusivity.

Creating Inclusive Archery Competitions will take place online on Tuesday 18 February 2025 from 7pm-8:30pm. Click the button below to book:
