The GB team that will attend the fourth and final World Cup stage in Madrid has been announced.
After the first stage of the GB recurve selection shoot a couple of weeks ago, comprising of three days of tough competition, the team for Madrid was selected. This World Cup, from 8-13 July, will be the last opportunity for archers to gain World Cup ranking points or a place in the coveted grand final in China in September.
Penny Healey earned her place in the final following her stage win in Florida at the start of the outdoor season. On the compound side, Ella Gibson currently sits in fourth place in the rankings. If she stays within the top eight compound women, she too will be invited to compete in the finals for the fourth time.
Three of the team members will be attending their debut World Cup: recurve women Thea Rogers and Megan Costall, and compound man Thomas Lane. All three have had many successful experiences with the team on the youth circuit as well as at Grand Prix and other European level events, and we’re excited to see how they fair in Madrid.

I'm confident every athlete will show progress, regardless of the final results, making this an exciting event to follow."
