Meet the team representing GB at the European Field Championships from 15-20 September 2025.
Over the years, Great Britain has solidified their high reputation across the field archery circuit, being consistently viewed as one of the main countries to beat. At the last European Championships in 2023 which took place in Italy, the team came away with an incredible nine medals. Their achievements spanned all categories from U21 to seniors, and all bowstyles including compound, barebow, and recurve.
Bryony Pitman is one of the athletes returning to this year’s event, aiming to defend her title as the recurve women’s champion.
For the barebow U21 men, Oliver Hicks will also be gunning for that top spot again, hoping to once again bring home the individual gold.
This team has proven medal potential, and plenty of international caps between them, making them a force to be reckoned with in the finals.

Bryony Pitman (recurve women)
Sophie Meering (recurve women)
Imogen Sullivan-Bell (recurve women)
Patrick Huston (recurve men)
Ella Gibson (compound women)

Non-Olympic programme manager, Jon Nott, said: “This is a very exciting team of athletes with many years of experience between them. They’re no stranger to the finals field, and I expect we will get to witness their skills live in Poland. I’m very much looking forward to the week.”
