The Junior Archery Series 2025 kicked off in Gloucestershire with an incredible 109 archers taking part, aged from 9 to 20.
The first stage of the series was hosted by Deer Park Archers in Shurdington on Saturday 3 May.
The weather was dry but quite gusty, making for challenging conditions for the junior archers taking part. As well as being the first event of the 2025 Junior Archery Series, it was the biggest target event Deer Park Archers have ever held.
Every round of head-to-heads had at least one shoot-off, including one for gold and two for bronze, making for a dramatic day of archery.

Peter Sisson, Tournament Organiser, said: "It was fantastic to see so many archers from all over the country at our ground taking part in high level competition. There was a great atmosphere, and the head-to-heads were so close with lots of shoot offs, which are a great spectacle for everyone there.
"Our young archers don't get many opportunities to shoot head-to-heads so this series is a brilliant way for them to gain the experience they will need in the future."
Aisha Chader, mother of Rumaysa Chader, U15 recurve archer, said: "My daughter and I had the most fantastic time at the first leg of the Junior Archery Series, brilliantly hosted by the wonderful Deer Park Archers. The day was filled with great company, laughter and unforgettable moments – a real celebration of community and sport. Huge thanks to Archery GB and especially Deer Park Archers for putting on such a well-organised and truly enjoyable event!"
