Archery GB and the Southern Counties Archery Society has an exciting opportunity for an Archery Development Officer to join our successful National Governing Body.
Job Title: Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Archery Development Officer - 35 hours/week
Salary Range:   £20,000 - £24,000
Location: Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Home-based, within the Southern Counties region.
This role is currently funded until December 2021
As Archery Development Officer you will work across our Southern Counties Archery region (which includes East of England, London and the South East) to increase the retention of archers through ensuring a quality experience across clubs, coaching and competition.
Your role will involve developing local delivery plans to support clubs and counties to retain archers and reduce loss of members. You will promote good practice and influence change within clubs and work in partnership with local and regional partners to develop, promote and enhance the archery experience.
The successful candidate will have experience in sports development and a passion for participation in sports. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, they will build strong relationships across the club network and seek opportunities to collaborate positively with volunteers to enhance the archery experience.
A self starter who is skilled in organising and managing their own workload, the successful candidate will be used to working in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate high levels of integrity and be a positive champion for change.
The post holder will be required to work regular evenings and weekends and be prepared to occasionally travel to head office (Shropshire).
