Junior Rankings 2023

The Junior Rankings 2023 list has been published. Congratulations to those juniors who topped the list and thanks to everyone who took part.

In total, scores from 185 junior archers were submitted (106 girls, 79 boys).

In the Junior Girls Recurve, Megan Havers (U18), from Bowmen of Glen, takes the top spot with a handicap of 59 followed by Sophie Roberts (U18), from Peacock Archery with 86 and Meghan Robertson (U18), of Guildford Archery Club on 93.

The highest ranked Under 16 was Chloe Pink, of Oxford Archers, who tied 8th place on 119.

Hetty Duncan, of York Archers Society, was the highest ranked Under 15 in 22nd place on 133. 

Abigail Hedges, of Redhill Archers, and Saffron Knowles from Bowmen of Wadebridge tied 13th on 127, both taking the highest ranked Under 14.

Lily Staite, also of Redhill Archers, was the highest ranked Under 12 taking 35th place with 172.

In the Junior Girls’ Compound, Patience Wood topped the rankings with the Under 18 of Bebington Archers having a handicap of 18.

In 2nd Isabella Bruguier, also U18, of Crystal Palace Bowmen, had a handicap of 32 while 3rd place was taken by Chloe Scott (U16), of Bowmen of Wadebridge with 44.

In the Junior Girls' Longbow division, Grace Curran finished top with the Under 21 from Deer Park Archers achieving a handicap of 225. In 2nd place was Daisy Parry (U16), of South Wilts Archery Club with 243. Third place went to Lucy Pontec (U14), of Cleve Archers with 382.

In the Junior Girls’ Barebow the top three spots all went to Under 18s with Evie Finnegan, of Bowmen of Pendle & Salmesbury, in 1st place with 147, Emily Summers, of Deer Park Archers in 2nd with 152 and Isabel Plowman, of Newnham Archery Club in 3rd with 161.

Junior Boys

In the Junior Boys’ Recurve, Max Oakley (U18), from The Audco Archers, finished top with a handicap of 60. In 2nd was Joshua Phillips (U21), of Links Junior Archers with 74 and in 3rd was fellow Under 21 Johnny Smart, of Thirsk Bowmen with 75.

The highest ranked Under 15 was Lewis Bodkin, also of The Audco Archers who came 5th with 91.

Alex Sillitoe-Price, of Hafren Foresters, was the highest ranked Under 14 at 6th with 92.

The top Under 16 was Sam Ball of Wallingford Castle Archers who finished 10th with 108. 

The highest ranked Under 12 was Hector Elwell of Long Mynd Archers and Zack Bruckshaw from The Audco Archers, who came joint 30th with 192.

In the Junior Boys’ Compound, Luke Davis (Under 21), of Andover Archers came 1st with a handicap of 8. In 2nd was Finlay Clark (U21) of York Archers Society with 24. Third was taken by Alfie Ridding (U18), of Lakeland Archery Club with 34.

In the Junior Boys’ Longbow, Finley Ellis came 1st with the Under 14 of Wellingborough Open Archery Club finishing on 256. Under 21 Joshua Borders of Stalybridge Archery Club came 2nd with 308.

Finally in the Junior Boys’ Barebow, 1st place went to Under 14 Samuel Bowden of Deer Park Archers with a handicap of 155. Second place went to Under 15 Matthew Taylor of Nonsuch Bowmen with 169. Third went to Euan O'Connor (U16), of Valley Bowmen of Huddersfield with 180.

When will I get my certificate?

If you spot any errors with the final results please contact competitions@archerygb.org All enquiries will be answered after 8 January and certificates will also be sent out in January.
