Meet the team representing Great Britain at the European Indoor Championships.
The 2024 European Indoor Championships will be held from 19-24 February in Varazdin, Croatia. Last year, the Championships was meant to take place in Samsun, Turkiye, but after the devastating effects of an earthquake, the tournament was cancelled. This coming February, archers will return to the event to defend their titles from 2022.
Jon Nott, Team Manager, said: "This Championship is a chance for the barebow athletes who were waiting to make their GB debuts last year to finally have that opportunity now. This is a self-funded event for the archers attending at their own personal costs, and we hope very much that this investment will help see them come home with a medal. This is an incredibly strong team, very exciting, and we're looking forward to it."
Great Britain came home with four medals last time, including individual compound woman gold from Ella Gibson. She will be travelling to Croatia with the hope of retaining her title. Her teammates attending the event also include:
Evie Finnegan (barebow youth women)
Isabel Plowman (barebow youth women)
Emily Summers (barebow youth women)
Wilco van Kleef-Bolton
Mia Mcguane (compound youth women)
Grace Coulam (compound youth women)
Chloe A'Bear (compound youth women)
Team Manager – Jon Nott
Coach – Simon Scott
Chaperone – Phillipa Lowe
Good luck to all of the athletes!
