The national club versus club competition reaches the final stages this coming weekend as the ontarget Club Competition is hosted at Lilleshall. Since April, teams of archers have been battling it out for the ultimate prize - to be crowned national ontarget club champions.
Four teams travel to Lilleshall on Sunday 17 September to shoot for the ontarget Club Competition 2017 trophy and £500 prize money that can be put towards the club's development.
This year all four finalists are newcomers, with last year's winners and finalists all falling in the quarter finals.
In Semi Final 1, Bowmen of Minchinhampton (Gloucestershire) take on The Nonsuch Bowmen (Surrey), with Semi-Final 2 being an all East Midlands affair as Burton Joyce Archers (Nottinghamshire) and Bowmen of Rutland (Leicestershire). The two winning clubs will then take up the fight to be crowned champions.
Â"Once again I would like thank all the clubs that have taken part, and look forward to making 2018 bigger and better” said Arran Coggan, Development Manager.
Â"Good luck to all the teams and I look forward to welcoming them to Lilleshall for a great day's shooting.”
The ontarget Club Competition has been running since 2013. A knockout team competition designed as a fun and social activity and to raise participation, the social aspect has been a key part of the competition.
