From today, the government has indicated indoor sports facilities across England will be able to reopen. The club and facility guidance has been updated accordingly.
In light of the next phase of lockdown easing, Arran Coggan, Archery GB's Acting Director of Participation, said: Â"We would like to thank all clubs and archers for following the guidance. As lockdown eases, please continue to support your club and its officials by doing everything you can to abide by the restrictions.”
Across the Home Nations there have been updates as well:
- In Scotland, Scottish Archery has updated their guidance - the main changes are around Level 3 and the travel restrictions, so please make sure you have read it and incorporate any relevant points into your club's risk assessment and protocols.
- In Wales, a maximum of six people from two households can meet outdoors (excluding children under 11 from either household). Field archery may have up to 6 people per target as long as the other Covid regulations are still followed. Archers must not mix at the beginning or end of their session. From 26 April: If public health conditions permit, the following relaxation can go ahead:Â organised outdoor activities will be permitted for up to 30 people.
- In Northern Ireland, up to 15 people (including coaches) can take part in structured outdoor sports training.
The summary of restrictions, Part 2 (Clubs) and Part 4 (Facilities) have been updated and are available on our Club Covid-19 page.
