Ron Van der Hoff announced as National Team Advisor

Archery GB is delighted to announce that Ron Van der Hoff will be our World Class Performance Programme’s (WCP) National Team Advisor.

Ron is a former Olympic athlete who represented the Netherlands at the 2004 Olympic Games. He has also coached Gaby Schloesser and Steve Wijler to Olympic Mixed Team Silver, and in Canada was instrumental in Eric Peters' World Silver in 2023. Ron has been supporting the Canadian Archery Federation in the development of their coaches where he has been the National Coach Advisor since 2023.

Ron will be supporting our vision of delivering an Olympic medal and sustaining Paralympic success in Los Angeles 2028.

Rachel Bayley, Acting Performance Director, said: "We are excited to welcome Ron to the team where he will be leading and influencing both the daily training environment and international competition environment. Ron will also be overseeing the development of the coaching team and ensuring our pathway is aligned with the WCP to support athlete development and progression. We are excited to welcome Ron to the Archery GB team."

Ron said: "I'm absolutely thrilled to join Archery GB and to work alongside such a passionate and committed group of staff and athletes. There is incredible potential not just within the current team, but also coming through the pathway. I'm excited to help unlock that potential and be part of a shared journey toward continued success on the world stage."
