Archers raced against Storm Amy to complete the final of the 2025 Run Archery National Series.
2025 marks the debut season of the National Series, expanding this ever-growing discipline of our sport. There were six stages spanning from May to September, and 20 athletes competed in the finals which took place at Lilleshall on Saturday 4 October.
Unfortunately, Storm Amy whipped up the winds which made for some very blustery conditions. Each category competed in a sprint race, however the event organisers decided to cut the competition short due to weather making it unsafe for competitors.

Despite Amy's interruption, archers very much enjoyed the event, and they fought for as long as they could for the top podium spots. In the women's category, the final race results matched the overall series standings with Emma Davis pipping Liz Whitworth and Becky Stacey to the gold medal. Ethan Hendry took the men's gold, winning the top spot overall by just one point over Kabeer Abdulhusein in second and Tom Hall in third.
Arran Coggan, Director of Sport Development, said: "I would like to thank all the competitors in showing an interest in this new discipline, and the clubs that have put on events throughout the year. Special thanks to Ian Green at Deer Park Archers who has managed the series standings. Unfortunately, the wind got the better of us during the final, but everyone managed to get in a race before we had to call it a day."
The Run Archery GB team head to Montigny lès Cormeilles, Paris this Friday to compete in the 2025 Run Archery European Cup. Good luck all!
