Nine-strong team announced for Para Worlds

GB will be sending a team of nine athletes to the World Archery Para Championships in South Korea.

The Championships will take place from 22-28 September at the Gwangju International Archery Centre, the same venue as the World Archery Championships, which is taking place now.

Flying the flag for GB will be reining Paralympic champions Jodie Grinham and Nathan Macqueen, along with Tokyo Games champion Phoebe Paterson Pine. Also in the team will be European Para Cup gold medallist Jess Stretton and silver medallist Cameron Radigan. They will be joined by European Para Cup bronze medallist Jamie Harris and Paralympian Victoria Kingstone. Nick Thomas and Clive Jones will compete in the VI category supported by their coaches Tom Hutton and Ian Rees Evans.

Rachel Bayley, Paralympic Programme Manager, said: "Following a successful season so far for the Para GB team, where we have seen some dominant performances throughout both Para European Cup competitions and especially seeing our compound women take all three podium places at the combined finals, we are quietly confident that the team that has been selected to represent GB at the World Championships has demonstrated strong international competitiveness this season and are in a strong position heading to Korea."

Good luck to the team!
