Finland hosted the exciting, multi-sport event, the European Masters Games.
Tempere, Finland played host to the European Masters Games, a multi-event tournament for athletes to explore the love for their sports. During 26 June to 9 July, amateur and professional competitors will compete in over 29 disciplines from archery to weightlifting. The Masters categories involve athletes from the ages of 30 all the way up to 70 and more. At this event, there are no limits!
Recurve man, Paul Tittensor, said: "This was the first Masters event for my partner (Helen Taylor) and myself. We decided to give it a go from the recommendation of friends who had attended previous events. It was a great experience to attend a multi-sport event of that nature."
The field of play for the target competition was surrounded by stunning forestry, and the wind and rain decided to pay the archers a visit, Despite this, the UK athletes weren't fazed by the British-style weather, and came home with several medals.
