Coaches from across the UK came together for Archery GB's updated Coaching Archers with a Disability (Part 2) workshop, at Stafford Archers Indoor Range.
The two-day workshop, held on 28 and 29 June, blended theory with practical application, supporting coaches to deliver truly inclusive archery by building the skills and confidence needed to support archers with physical, sensory, or neurological disabilities.
Building on the micro-course available through Learning Curve, the workshop provided a hands-on opportunity to explore adaptive equipment, assess limitations, and learn how to shift coaching techniques to meet an archer's needs.
The workshop is ideal for any coach wanting to expand their skillset and ensure all archers, including para-archers, feel supported, safe, and empowered.
Participants said how clear, practical, and relevant the workshop felt to their coaching needs.
Coach, Tim Woolcott, said: "This workshop is an invaluable resource for coaches of all levels. Completing it increased my awareness of the challenges disabled archers face in the sport, giving me greater confidence and knowledge to better support them."
Coach, Mark Braham, added: "The balance between theory and practical was just right, and the presenter’s knowledge was second to none."

Andy Rikunenko, who developed the workshop, with help and support from Keiran Carr and Vincent Hybois, said: "The launch of the 'Coaching Archers with a Disability' workshop at Stafford Archers was amazing.
"There was incredible enthusiasm from all the coaches and coach developers who attended. Everyone was so keen to learn, get involved, and most of all demonstrated commitment to making archery more accessible and growing disability archery in their clubs and regions. Thank you also to my amazing co-presenter Nat Merry."
