Here is everything you need to know about the 2025 Back2Back, from ones to watch to what’s going on.
We’re less than two weeks away from the biggest indoor event of the UK calendar, and we want to give you the lowdown.
Where: Hall 2, Stoneleigh Park, Coventry
When: Sunday 7 December
But first, here’s a quick reminder about who our reigning champions are.
After announcing his retirement from the Olympic programme, Alex Wise closed his 2024 season with a final win, taking the recurve open title. Having now returned to the GB team, Alex has picked up his recurve again with the hope of retaining his title.
On the women’s side, Penny Healey took the winning set, getting gold in the Back2Back as well as from the Saturday’s National Championships.
Debut Back2Back competitor, Gaius Carter from the US, claimed the compound open win over GB’s Ajay Scott. The final showdown for the compound women was a clash of previous winners, Ella Gibson and Sarah Prieels, in which Sarah pipped Ella to the win.
As well as our 2024 champions, many other archers are ready to throw their hat in the ring for the title.
The recurve National Tour Final champions, Holly Linfield and Moses Cheung, will be vying for the win. Double Paralympic medallist from Paris, Jodie Grinham, as well as previous world number one, Ella Gibson, are going for the compound women’s title. In the compound open category, GB archer’s Ajay Scott and Adam Carpenter will fight against international archers such as France’s Jean Philippe Boulch for the gold.
