Sport England has announced today (31 March) the availability of a £195 million funding package to help the sport and physical activity sector through the ongoing Coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC), the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), the Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Government of Japan today agreed new dates for the Games of the XXXII Olympiad, in 2021. The Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 will be celebrated from 23 July to 8 August 2021. They also agreed on new dates for the Paralympic Games, which will be celebrated from 24 August until 5 September 2021.

It has been announced today (24 March) that the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games have been postponed ‘no later than summer 2021' to safeguard the health of the athletes, everybody involved in the Games and the international community during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19).

UK Sport, the British Olympic Association (BOA) and the British Paralympic Association (BPA) will host a conference call with the Chief Executives and Performance Directors of summer Olympic and Paralympic sports on Tuesday 24 March, 2020.
