Get involved in the 2024 January Challenge virtual competition!

Help beat those January blues by taking part in the Archery GB January Challenge virtual archery competition.

We started the January Challenge in 2004 as something that every club member could take part in. You can shoot it as many times as you like during January and then submit your best score, so it's a great competition for beginners and competition novices to get involved in. Why not hold a Challenge Day at your club, or find a group of like-minded archers and use it as an opportunity to get to know some new people at your club?

Taking part is free and easy as 1,2,3:

  1. Register your entry here. You'll then receive your scorecard via email (scorecards will be sent out after January 9 2024)
  2. Shoot a Portsmouth round at your club. You can shoot as many as you like, but if you want to submit more than one score, you'll need to apply for one scorecard per score. If you haven't received your scorecard yet, you can still shoot the round and then back-date the score card.
  3. Submit your score/s by 5 February 2024. Results will be announced mid-late February on our website and on Ianseo, and you'll be able to download your participation certificate.

Juniors can enter but will be counted alongside adults. American flat bows should be included in 'Recurve Barebows'.

When you send your score in, please make sure that you have sent in all the required information or your score may not be counted.

Full details are available on our virtual competitions page.
