The fourth out of five stages of the 2024 Junior Archery Series took place at York Archers Society’s grounds.
A total of 80 youth archers travelled to York on 15 June, with just a few deterred by the forecasted thunderstorms.
It’s the second year of the Series. York is the most central location and the event sold out in less than twelve hours. Archers travelled from as far south as Guernsey and Southampton, and as far north as Ayrshire and Northern Ireland, and 53 individual clubs were represented on the day
Dave Shaw, Chair of York Archers, said: “The event always has such fantastic energy and showcases the exceptional talents of junior archers from across the country. We’re so happy we can bring this event to the north of England.”
