Four athletes have been nominated for the Athletes' Athlete of the Month award after achieving personal triumphs over the last few weeks, including GB archer Penny Healey.
Britain’s elite athletes are voting for their Athlete of the Month of April 2023, organised by the British Elite Athletes Association. Each of the nominees have excelled in their sports in the last few weeks, not just with their achievements, but also by being inspiring spokespeople for their peers.
Penny is of one of four nominees alongside Emily Campbell (weightlifting), Claire Danson (para-cycling) and Sophie McKinna (athletics).
The 18-year-old archer's recent acceleration to number one in the world, as well as her win at the Antalya World Cup and the European Grand Prix, earned her nomination for this award.
Elite athletes can vote for their Athlete of the Month and the winner will be confirmed across the British Elite Athletes Association's website and social media channels soon.
