For Neurodiversity Celebration Week, we’re taking another step toward greater inclusivity with the launch of the latest episode of the Way of the Bow podcast.
This episode explores how coaches can better support neurodivergent archers, featuring insights from Engagement Coordinator Stuart Wall, a neurodiverse archery instructor himself. Stuart shares practical strategies to make archery more accessible and welcoming for all.
Archery is a great sport for building focus, structure, and self-paced learning, but for neurodivergent individuals, things like sensory overload or communication barriers can sometimes make it more challenging.
This podcast is part of Archery GB's wider neurodiversity initiatives, including:
These initiatives ensure that neurodivergent archers feel valued, supported, and empowered, while coaches gain the knowledge and confidence to create inclusive, adaptable coaching environments.
If you would like to share your experiences, please take a few moments to complete LCORI's participant survey or the coaches survey
Both surveys take around 10 minutes to complete and you can ask someone to complete it on your behalf if you find it easier. You do not need to be neurodivergent to complete the coaches survey but we welcome responses from all coaches, both neurodiverse and neurotypical.
